The TFC Women in Soccer Fellowship is designed to help be part of that change –giving women with vision a holistic view of our business and the insights required become the sport leaders of tomorrow.

My name is Lina Bahri, and I am the 2026 BMO x TFC Women in Soccer Fellow. Soccer and sports have been a major part of my life, from playing, refereeing, and coaching to building my career in the industry. I competed at the OPDL, League1, and varsity levels at York University while pursuing my BBA at Schulich.
The BMO Women in Soccer Fellowship is the first step women can take to leave their mark in the professional sport environment, as they will use this opportunity to gain valuable first-hand experience within the sport industry.

NICOLE REMEDIOS

Nicole Remedios works as a Communications Coordinator for Toronto FC with experience across professional soccer, collegiate athletics and digital storytelling. She leads communications for the club’s Academy while supporting media relations, player communications and media operations for the First and Second team. A former NCAA Division I soccer player, she was also the inaugural Toronto FC x BMO Women in Soccer Fellow and hold a Master’s in Sport Management.

Being a woman in sports is meaningful to me because representation matters. I want young girls to see that dreaming big is possible and that they belong in this industry. In my role, I can create space for others, bring new perspectives forward, open doors, and help make sports more inclusive, welcoming, and truly for everyone, now and for generations.

Now, in the position I’m in, I also have the opportunity to create space for others, bring different perspectives to the table, and help open doors that may not have always been there.
